Built from the existing ruins of San Miguel de Allende’s original orphanage, the three-foot wide stone walls of Casa Castilla date back to the early 1600’s.  While keeping the castle-like feel of the house, Norwegian architect, Anja Fauske, www.anjafauske.com transformed Casa Castilla into a modern day masterpiece, while Rhode Island School of Design-trained interior designer, Anne-Marie Midy, www.casamidy.com, added her gorgeous signature French style to create an enchanting and unique design to every room.

Truly a work of art in itself, Casa Castilla brings to mind a MC Escher-inspired creation come to life with its multi-level terraces, stone passageways and arched staircases.

 Reigning above one of the many grand archways you’ll find a 17th century statue of archangel, St. Michael, the city’s
patron saint.


The two master suites offer stunning bedroom views of the city and each feature luxurious rain shower baths and large sunken tubs in the private bathrooms.  A total of five bedrooms that can sleep 10, Casa Castilla is ideal for
